Оттенок: У меня три - №03 Hot Pepper, №02 Frambourjois, №07 Nude-ist
№03 Hot Pepper - бархатный красный, склонен быть "идеальным красным". В зависимости от освещения может уйти в теплый или в холодный. На моем холодном цветотипе сильной желтизной не отдает, но и зубы сильно не выбеливает (но и не подчеркивает желтизну).
№02 Frambourjois - холодная фуксия щедро приправленная красным. Некий симбиоз между розовым и красным. Использую в тех случаях когда хочется не просто идеальный красный, а с некой фривольностью. Яркий, интересный оттенок.
№07 Nude-ist - оттенок почти полностью совпадает с моим родным оттенком губ, добавляя пару капель более розового и, конечно же, бархатистую матовость.
Упаковка: прозрачный пластик через который видно цвет помады. Кисточка-спонжик позволяет плавно прорисовать контур без помощи карандаша.
Текстура: немного суховата, использую бальзам до нее и промакиваю салфеткой излишки. Сухость губ сильно не подчеркнет но и не скрывает. Желательно воспользоваться скрабом. В течении дня дискомфорта не вызывает, но на каждый день я бы ее не рекомендовала - не уверена, что губы не иссушатся. После снятия требуется увлажнение.
Стойкость: для меня она стала настоящим открытием. Палочка-выручалочка в тот день, когда нужен стойкий цвет. Выдерживает даже обед (с легким подкрашиванием).
№03 и №02 сходят начиная с центра, белую полоску не образуют. После плотного обеда могут нуждаться в легком подкрашивании.
№07 - сходит постепенно и незаметно в течении дня благодаря "естественному" цвету.
Вывод: пока что моя лучшая помада для стойкого цвета. Как закончится - куплю еще.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet- 10, 11, 12

This time last year, I blogged about my love for the Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipsticks and still using them now and loving them just as much as I did on launch, it would come as no surprise that I was absolutely thrilled when I heard Bourjois were launching some new shades, ready for Spring.

In three new shades, 10 Don't Pink Of It, 11 So Hap'Pink and 12 Beau Brun are all an absolute pleasure to add to my collection and I can't get enough of the lipstick meets lacquer formula.

With the same lightweight formula that the Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks carried in the previous shades, for products with a matte finish, these sit on the lips really comfortably and don't feel too drying in the slightest.

There's something that I have noticed is slightly different to the three new additions and that's that there seems to be a slight product'y scent/taste to them. I'm not completely sure what it is and I'm not too keen on it, but scent aside, these are still beautiful products and I'm sure I will use them just as much as I have used 01 Personne ne Rouge, 04 Peach Club and 05 Olé Flamingo in the past year.

My favourite of the three new shades is most definitely 10 Don't Pink Of It, which again, is probably no surprise, but I do really like the other two as well and think that Beau Brun is a great transitional shade to see me through the end of these chilly months and into the beginning of Spring.

Available this month, Bourjois' latest shades will be found alongside the rest of the range costing £8.99 each.

Все помады имеют абсолютно идентичные характеристики , поэтому сначала о них:

• Упаковка: не люкс, а масс, это да. Но она справляется со своей задачей — ничего не подтекает и вот это всё Тюбик прозрачный и сквозь него видно цвет оттенка, крышка также примерно аналогичного цвета. Отличный спонжик ! Мне очень удобен и для прорисовки контура, и для нанесения помады в целом. В общем, всё ок)
• Объем щедрый — 7,7 мл. (сравните с 2,6 от lime crime ), производство Франция.
• Есть легкий косметический запах , меня не напрягает)
• Текстура: одна из самых необычных среди моих матовых. Она как суфле или что-то типа) Необычная Не жидкая точно, достаточно густая. Наносится очень здорово, никаких проблем.
• Пигментация: хорошая. Выше среднего, но не такая супер пигментированная как те же вельветины или матовая линейка Нубы, например. Я бы сказала, что пигментация схожа с линейкой Soft matte lip cream от NYX — то есть она неплохая, но я всегда наношу помаду в два слоя. Плюс такой пигментации в том, что любую помаду можно нанести совсем тоненько и получить цвет, отличный от того, который получается при наслаивании. Удобно
• Финиш: вот тут есть маленький подвох После нанесения помада имеет кремовый финиш. Конечно, глянца и активного сатина там нет, но и полностью матовой её никак не назвать. Если ждать минут 5, она становится более матовой. Но я обычно не жду И часто так поступаю со всеми «околоматовыми» помадами — салфетка и все дела) Ну, в смысле, слегка промакиваю губы бумажной салфеткой — и вуаля! Матовый финиш готов
• Стойкость помады выше среднего. Но если сравнить её со стойкостью вельветинов или нубы — она, конечно, уступит. С ней можно попить кофе/чай или съесть что-то несерьезное и ни в коем случае не жирное. Полноценный прием пищи — не переживет центр губ. Ну а если не есть совсем(не надо так)))— то будет всё ок. При этом, на моем опыте, если не использовать метод «салфетка» и наслоить помаду — может оставить следы при поцелуе/на чашке или что-то такое)
• По поводу подсушивания губ — я бы сказала иногда может быть ощущение сухости, но не всякий раз и не критичное. То есть для меня, субъективно , это не критично ни разу.
• Силилась назвать минусы и решила указать разве что отсутствие стойкости «24 часа» как заверяет нас Буржуа (но с другой стороны там про еду ничего не написано ). Ну и кому-то, возможно (?) может подсушивать губы.

There seems to be a lot of hype around the new Bourjois offering: their Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick . It’s another liquid lipstick hybrid which I really enjoy so when I heard these were launching, I made a beeline for the nearest Bourjois stand and promptly began to load my basket making sure that I got a third item for every two makeup products I picked up in honour of Boots 3 for 2 promotion (I’m such a sucker for promotions convincing myself that I’ll be saving money in the long run. For that reason, Boots should always remain profitable as long as I am around).

My recent liquid lipstick purchases include    Loreal’s L’extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick By Colour Riche  (which I have reviewed here ) which is more of a glossy, opaque lipgloss and the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream (reviewed here)  which is more closer to a matte lipstick in terms of texture and finish. I didn’t like the Hourglass Opaque Rouge as I found them incredibly drying on the lips and therefore extremely uncomfortable to wear. So where does the Bourjouis Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipstick sit on the scale to lipstick to lip gloss and how does it compare to it’s rival hybrids? Let me explain….

The Bourjois Edition Velvet Lipstick comes in six shades of which I eagerly bought three (keen, I know); Frambourjois, which is a pink toned red; Hot Pepper, which is an orange toned red; and Personne En Rouge, more of a true neutral toned red. The brand promises a formula that is matte, velvety and light made with enriching oils that help to create a product that has a second-skin feel which does not fade or dry out your pout.

First up, let’s talk about the packaging. Kudos to whoever designed this simple but slick and tres chic packaging. On first glance it looks like more of your conventional lipstick, and where the lid mimics the colour of the lipstick inside. Once unscrewed, an angular-headed doe-foot wand is unveiled which has been ergonomically designed to accommodate the contour of the lips and therefore precision application. There is also a definite scent to the product which is kind of fruity and reminds me of berries. Some will probably hate it but I don’t really mind it too much.

Now let’s talk substance. I have to agree that the texture is very light and applies incredibly smoothly onto the lips. I find that with one layer of the product, although opaque, it applies inconsistently and therefore uneven but nothing that a second coat doesn’t address. However, for a product that that claims to be matte, I found that it applied slightly glossy but never really manages to set to full blown matte . Sure it feels nice on the lips, very velvety soft to almost a powdery finish which suggest the product’s lightness. Now what I completely disagree with is it’s claim to last 24 hours. I’m not going to pretend that I’ve ever had the lipstick on for 24 hours (or any other lipstick for that matter) but I can tell you that if it does last for 24 hours then we’re talking about a faint, uneven stain (unless of course you choose not eat or drink within them 24 hours then yeah maybe, just maybe you might have the product still fully intact for the whole day). So after a few hours of wear, and having a sip of tea here and a bite of cake there, the colour starts to fade around the centre until you’re eventually left with a ring of lipstick which is definitely not a good look. Only then will I say that the product fades to become more of a matte stain.

The colour is totally transferable and therefore isn’t budge proof or smudge proof for that matter and I have evidence in the form of the copius amount of times I’ve found lipstick stains around the rim of my mugs (perhaps I should have included a photo of it on here, or maybe not) and I’ve also tried the old age trick of planting a smacker on the back of my hand and each time I’ve almost had a perfect imprint of my pout. Now it’s not a bad product per se but it’s definitely one that doesn’t live up to it’s promises or my expectations for that matter. I am surprised to have read loads reviews with full appraisal for the Bourjois Velvet Lipsticks, some from some of the very best beauty bloggers (by my standards anyway ) out there. I guess sometimes we have to agree to disagree. I’ll still be using them but for me they are nothing more than a glorified lipstick hybrid. For me personally, I think I prefer the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams over the Bourjois hybrid offering.
